Cascabel - Toluca Lake, CA

I always order the first thing on the menu on my first visit to a restaurant. Cascabel rewarded my simple plan in the cocktail, appetizer, main dish and dessert. The flavors were varied, with spicy highs and soothing undertones. I hope to visit again soon.

The atmosphere and food are standouts here. Beautiful interior. Great lunch and happy hour specials. As others have said the red snapper and steak tacos are amazing. I loved their house margarita as well.

Hidden gem. I dig the converted house into a restaurant aesthetic. Look for the neon sign. Food is fantastic. Portion size is a small plates format and great for sharing. Mezcal old fashioned was tasty.

I always bring friends visiting from out of town here. Cascabel's slightly upscale menu puts an elegant twist on classic Mexican dishes, and I love that. My go-to favorites? The lobster tacos and Mexican corn bread-absolute musts.

This place was amazing! Some of the best tacos I've had, along with one of the quaintest and comfortable atmospheres I've found in the area. Cute, comfortable, delicious. Need I say more?
